The world’s largest plane, the ‘Mriya,’ was destroyed by Russia.Â
Invasion of Ukraine by Russia, the world’s largest plane, the “Ukraine’s Antonov-225 cargo plane,” was destroyed by Russia. The plane was shot down just outside of Kyiv.
According to Ukroboronprom, reconstructing the “AN-225 Mriya” would cost more than USD 3 billion and take more than five years. The plane was one-of-a-kind in the globe.
When Russia launched an attack on Hostomel Airport on February 24, 2022, the An-225 aircraft was stationed there. On February 27, it was demolished.

The New Development Bank is the first multilateral institution to establish a presence in Gift City.
The New Development Bank (NDB) will be the first multilateral organisation to establish a presence in Gujarat International Finance Tech City (Gift).
The New Development Bank (NDB) has gotten approval for the project and plans to build an office in GIFT City in May 2022.
The Indian office will assist in the identification of appropriate projects and the creation of a pipeline of prospective finance for the bank.
Quick Fact: NDB also plans to work with the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NBFID), which was recently established, to fund critical infrastructure projects in India.

Abhishek Singh, the CEO of Digital India, has appointed the head of the National e-Government Division. .Â
Abhishek Singh, a 1995-batch IAS officer and the CEO of Digital India Corporation, has been appointed as the next head of the National e-Governance Division.
The Additional Secretary job will be filled by a 1995-batch IAS officer from the Nagaland cadre. The officer will cover the additional expense of the Managing Director and Chief Government Officer positions at the Digital India Company.
Quick Fact: The Extra Secretary rank and remuneration would be maintained for the 1995-batch IAS official from the Nagaland cadre.

The Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre won the 2nd LG Cup Ice Hockey Championship in 2022.
At the Ice Hockey Rink at the NDS Sports Complex in Leh, the finals of the 15th CEC Cup Men’s Ice Hockey Championship, 2022, were played between the teams of ITBP and Ladakh Scouts.
It was a very fought game in which both sides gave their all, but only one team emerged victorious. In the end, the Ladakh Scouts won the 15th CEC Cup Men’s Ice Hockey Championship 2022.
Quick Fact: The trophies were awarded to the finalists by Lieutenant Governor RK Mathur of Ladakh.

In Odisha, the Bank of Maharashtra launches “Project Banksakhi.”Â
Bank of Maharashtra (BoM), a public sector lender, has announced the launch of “Project Banksakhi” in Odisha in collaboration with Mahagram and Sunivesh India Finance Services Pvt. Ltd. for the opening of online bank accounts.
