3 days after, the Japanese city of Nagasaki was aimed by the U.S. The atomic bomb was named ‘Fat Man’.

International Day of the World’s Indigenous People 

This day is observed to spread the message of the UN. The message revolves around the protection and promotion of the rights of the indigenous people.

International Youth Day 

This day is observed all around the globe. The aim is to focus on the development as well as the protection of society’s youth.

International Left-Handers Day 

This day was first celebrated in 1976. The aim is to highlight the issues, if any, faced by left-handed people.

World Mosquito Day

Indian Akshay Urja Day

European Day of Remembrance for Victims of Stalinism and Nazism

Women’s Equality Day 

On this day, the 19th Amendment was made to the U.S. Constitution. This amendment allowed women the right to vote. In 1971, this day was designated. However, the amendment was made in 1878. 

National Sports Day 

This day is honored to honor the field hockey player Dhyan Chand. He is regarded as the greatest hockey player and is known for his extraordinary goal-scoring feats. He won three Olympic gold medals. This day is also called as Rashtriya Khel Diwas. 

August 30 

Small Industry Day

This day is observed to highlight and promote the small scale industry. These industries are ownerships of small cooperations with limited manpower as well as resources.

Friendship Day 

This tradition began back in 1935. The aim is to honor friends all over. The U.S. was the first country to begin this. Gradually, it gained a lot of momentum in other countries.
