World Vegan Day
In order to raise awareness about the vegan diet and veganism, this day is observed. On November 1, 1994, this day was celebrated to mark the 50th anniversary of the UK Vegan society.

World Tsunami Awareness Day
In order to highlight the dangers related to natural calamities like Tsunami, this day is observed. The focus is on the importance of early warning systems in order to minimize the damage caused. Also, traditional knowledge about tsunamis is provided.

Infant Protection Day

National Cancer Awareness Day

Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman Birthday
CV Raman was born on November 7, 1888, in Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu. He was the first-ever Indian to receive a Nobel Prize in Physics in the year 1930.

L.K. Advani’s Birthday
Born on 8 November 1927, in Karachi, Pakistan, the founder of the BJP – L.K. Advani was born. He has been elected as an MP 8 times. Also, he has served as the Deputy PM of India from June 29, 2002, to May 2004.

Legal Services Day
In order to highlight legal literacy, this day is observed. In 1995, on this day, the Legal Services Authorities Act was enforced.
Uttarakhand Foundation Day
From the former name of Uttaranchal, the name was formally changed to Uttarakhand in 2007. However, this place was established in 2000. Famously known as the ‘Dev Bhumi’ or ‘Land of Lords’, this place holds great historical and cultural importance.
Also, on November 9, 2019, the Kartarpur corridor was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi from India and Imran Khan from Pakistan.

Remembrance Day
This day is known as the Laemistice de la Premiere Guerre Mondiale in France. World War 1 came to an end on this day. An armistice was signed in between the allied forces as well as Germany. This was signed at Compiegne in Northern France.

World Pneumonia Day
On this day, the much-needed awareness related to this disease as well the preventive measures are addressed. This disease is widespread and children below 5 years of age are majorly affected.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Birth Anniversary
Guru Nanak Dev Ji was the first Sikh Guru as well as the Founder of Sikhism. This day is known as Guru Nanak Jayanti or Gurupurab. In 2019, it was the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and it was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy.

National Epilepsy Day
The need of the hour is to highlight symptoms and cures related to diseases like Epilepsy. Every year, this day is observed in relation to this chronic disease which can hit people of any age group. Also, this disease can be characterized by seizures as well as fits.

International Men’s Day
With a progressive approach, it is important to address and highlight the issues made by men on a global scale. This is why International Men’s Day is celebrated.
World Toilet Day
The world is witnessing a global sanitation crisis and hence, this day is observed. The aim is to achieve a sustainable development goal (SDG) 6, which promises sanitation by the year 2030.
November 20
Universal Children’s Day
With a view to promoting togetherness, welfare as well as awareness amongst the children, this day is celebrated. This was established in 1954. But, in 1959, the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. Following in 1989, the Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted by the UN General Assembly.

World Television Day

November 25
International Day for the Elimination of violence against women
This day was also established by the UN General Assembly in 1993. With a view to defining violence against women as an act of gender-based violence, this day is observed. This kind of violence may result in abuses that might be physical, sexual, or psychological in nature.
November 26
Law Day (India)
This day is known as the Constitution Day or Samvidhan Diwas. The Constitution of India was adopted on this day in 1949. The same came to force on January 26, 1950.
November 29
International Day of solidarity with Palestinian People
In 1977, the General Assembly adopted the resolution 32/40 B and declared this day as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people. This is also known as the Partition Resolution as resolution 181 (II) was adopted.
