IPU CET BHMCT 2020 was conducted on September 12th, 2020, after much postponing due to the Covid-19 issue. IPU CET BHMCT is the entrance test for the BHMCT program offered by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, more widely known as Indraprastha University. Any student who has completed a 10+2 course with 50% marks and English as a subject is considered eligible to appear for IPU CET BHMCT.
IPU CET BHMCT tests the knowledge of accounts, commerce, and science apart from regular areas like Verbal Ability, Reasoning, and GK tested in other hotel management entrance tests. The result of IPU CET BHMCT was published on 8th October 2020.

Changes in the exam pattern
The exam pattern of IPU CET BHMCT was changed in the year 2020. The following are the major changes in the exam pattern:
- The number of questions was reduced to 100 from 150.
- The mode of the exam was changed from offline to online mode.
- The exam was previously conducted in a single shift, at the same time, throughout the country. From the year 2020, it has been decided to conduct the exam in three shifts, with varying question papers of the same difficulty levels, to decrease traffic at examination centers,
- The fee for the application form of IPU CET hotel management courses was increased to Rs. 1200 from Rs. 1000.
IPU CET BHMCT 2020 Cutoff
The cutoff marks and ranks to get into IPU BHMCT will be announced by the institute. IPU conducts 3 rounds of releasing the cutoffs. Round 3 would constitute the final cutoff, after which the BHMCT program would start immediately. The IPU CET BHMCT 2020 depends on the following factors:

IPU CET BHMCT 2020 Analysis
The overall level of difficulty of the exam, according to candidates, was low to moderate. The IPU CET BHMCT 2020 question paper consisted of four sections:
English Language and Comprehension
The section English Language and Comprehension was the easiest. This section consisted of questions about synonyms and antonyms, meanings, and sentence formations. The comprehension part of the section was also easy, as most of the passages given were from literary works or news articles that were easy to understand.
General Awareness
This section consisted of questions about general knowledge and current affairs. If not prepared well, this section could be a little difficult since it required an understanding of all recent domestic and international events. The general knowledge questions were basic from subjects like social sciences like history and geography, though a few were asked from science as well.
Logical and Analytical Ability
The section on Logical and Analytical ability also included computer awareness this year. This change made the section a little bit harder than last year. All the other questions in this section were mostly easy, but a few among them were tricky. A large percentage of the total questions were asked from topics like number series, verbal reasoning, statements and, assumptions, etc. This section saw questions being asked from Mathematics of the level of classes 9th and 10th. This section was moderately difficult, though candidates having an interest in the subject found it comparatively easier than the others.
Knowledge of Accounts/ Commerce and Science
This section was subject-specific. Candidates who prepared well for hotel management courses and did a lot of background reading would have found it easier.
