NLU Delhi LLB is a five-year course integrated with a bachelor’s degree. The National Law University of Delhi conducts All India Law Entrance Test or AILET once a year via which students who wish to pursue law can take admission into the Bachelor of Legislative Law or LLB. The National Law University, Delhi is one of the most prestigious universities for studying law along with other 22 of the National Law Universities in India.

National Law University, Delhi was established in 2008, after the introduction of National Law Universities based on the five-year integrated law degree model, which was proposed by the Bar Council of India,

The university was established with the help of the initiative undertaken by the High Court of Delhi under the guidance and leadership of Ranbir Singh, who is the founder-director and vice-chancellor of Nalsar University of Law, Hyderabad, he is also the vice-chancellor of the National Law University, Delhi.  It was inaugurated by the then President of India, Pratibha Patel.  The National Law University Act, 2007 enables the Chief Justice of India to be the University’s visitor and the Chief Justice of the High Court of Delhi to function as the university’s Chancellor.

The University is located at Dwarka, New Delhi. The National Law University, Delhi has been ranked second in 2019 and  2020 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).  The university is also affiliated with prestigious institutions like the Bar Council of India (BCI), University Grants Commission (UGC), and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

NLU Delhi LLB: Course Structure

National Law University, Delhi offers a five-year integrated BA.LLB course at an undergraduate level.  There are in total 80 seats offered in BA.LLB course, out of which 10 are reserved for the Foreign Nationals. The course is modeled on a credit system with additional seminar courses being provided as well. The course has around 50 subjects which have been spread over 10 semesters. There are approximately five subjects each semester and students also have to submit fifty research projects over the course of the five years.

The University has an impressive record when it comes to campus placements. In 2019 the university secured 100 percent placements. The placements begin every year starting May.
