2.General Awareness

This section of the CUCET 2020 was easy for the students who are generally updated with current affairs. Others found it a little tough. Questions were asked regarding national and international events that took place in the past year. Some general questions about history and science were also asked. The topics of current affairs asked are as follows:

  • Heads of famous companies and institutions
  • Awards and honors
  • Political News
  • Sports News
  • Environmental News
  • Eminent Personalities
3.Mathematical Aptitude

This section was a little tougher compared to the other sections as questions involving maths were asked. Though all the math questions were based on the basic knowledge you learned in school, students who had not taken the subject found it difficult. Candidates who had an interest in the subject found this section very easy. The overall level of difficulty for this section was thus moderate to high. Some of the questions were very easy while some others were tricky. The areas from which the questions were asked are:

  • Algebra
  • Simple and Compound interest
  • Trigonometry
  • Statistics
  • Time, Speed, and Distance
  • Series and Sequences
  • Profit and Loss
4.Analytical Skills

CUCET 2020 followed the same pattern of previous year question papers for this section too. The section was overall easy, but there were a few questions that proved a little tricky for candidates. This made the difficulty of the section moderate. The areas from which questions were asked for this section are:

  • Coding and Decoding
  • Series
  • Direction and Distance
  • Visual Reasoning
  • Reasoning and Assumptions
  • Blood Relations
5.Domain Knowledge

This section was a little difficult for students from streams other than the course specification they have opted for. Basic knowledge of the specialization that you have chosen is tested. So students from the streams that they did in higher secondary school opting for the same in UG, like that of Commerce, Management, Mass Communication, etc. will find it comparatively easier than those changing their streams.
