SpaceX launches rocket carrying Blacksky, Starlink satellites
SpaceX recently launched fifty satellites that will join the Starlink mega constellation.
The satellites were launched on the Falcon 9 rocket from Florida.
The Starlink constellation aims to provide internet access to the Earth on a large scale and consists of 1600 satellites.
SRESHTA Scheme: Residential Education for Students in High Schools in Targeted Areas
The Government of India is to launch the SRESHTA Scheme for the Scheduled Caste students.
The Scheme will be implemented by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
The Scheme will provide quality residential education to meritorious students and is estimated to help more than 24,800 students in the next five years.
Quick Facts: The Scheme will be launched on Mahaparinirvan Divas, the death anniversary of Dr. BR Ambedkar.

The Indian American Gita Gopinath has become the First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.
Gita was the first female Chief Economist of the International Monetary Fund.
Gita was also awarded the Parvasi Bharatiya Samman in 2019 by the President of India.

Nizamuddin Basti Project gets two UNESCO Heritage Awards
The UNESCO has recently presented two Heritage Awards to the Nizamuddin Basti Project.
The Project has been awarded the Special Recognition for Sustainable Award and Award of Excellence for its conservation efforts.
The Project was started in 2007 by the Aga Kahn Trust for Culture, Archaeological Survey of India, Delhi Urban Heritage Foundation, and the Delhi Municipal Corporation.

Anju Bobby George wins Woman of the Year award from World Athletics
The Indian Athlete Anju Bobby George has won the Woman of the Year Award from World Athletics.
Anju has won the award for grooming young girls to take up sports.
Anju is a gold medalist in the 2005 IAAF World Athletics Finals and was the first Indian athlete to win a bronze medal in the long jump at the World Championships in Athletics held in 2013 in Paris.
Quick Facts: Anju was awarded the Arjuna award in 2002, Padma Shri in 2004, and the Khel Ratna in 2003.
Flipkart and Rural Development Ministry sign MoU to empower local businesses
The Ministry of Rural Development of the Government of India and Flipkart has signed an MoU for the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana- National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM).
The MoU will help in empowering local businesses and self-help groups by bringing them into the e-commerce fold.
The MoU is part of the Flipkart Samarth program and was signed to provide skilled and underserved communities of weavers, craftsmen, and artisans with national market access through Flipkart.

Sweden elects first Female Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson
The former Finance Minister of Sweden, Eva Magdalena Andersson from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has become the first female Prime Minister of Sweden.
On 24 November 2021, she was first elected as the PM but later resigned after her coalition partner (Green Party) quit the government and the budget failed to pass.
Magdalena Andersson is a 54-year-old Swedish politician and economist serving as the PM from the Social Democratic Party or SDP.
Quick Facts: Swedish krona is the currency of Sweden.
