Jammu and Kashmir launches Super-75 Scholarship Scheme
The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor has launched “Super 75” scholarship schemes for meritorious girls, on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2021.
The basic aim of this scholarship scheme is to facilitate the education and entrepreneurship of women.
The super-75 scholarship scheme will support the education of meritorious girls from poor families so that they can excel in streams like medicine, engineering, ITI, and humanity.

Tirath Singh Rawat becomes new CM of Uttarakhand
The BJP’s member of Parliament from Pauri Garhwal, Tirath Singh Rawat, will be the next chief minister of Uttarakhand.
Tirath Singh Rawat will succeed Trivendra Singh Rawat who resigned.
Tirath Singh Rawat was the chief of the BJP party in Uttarakhand in 2013-15 and also an MLA from the state in the past.

Koneru Humpy wins BBC Indian Sportswoman-of-the-Year award
World rapid chess champion Koneru Humpy has won the BBC Indian Sportswoman-of-the-Year award.

The Lifetime Achievement award went to veteran athlete Anju Bobby George.

Indian Navy’s receives INS Karanj
The Indian Navy received its third Scorpene submarine, commissioned as INS Karanj, of Project P-75 in Mumbai.

Switzerland votes to ban full-face coverings in public places
Switzerland has voted in favour of a proposal banning full facial coverings including the burqa and niqab in almost all public places.
In the public referendum, around 51.21% of voters voted in support of the controversial proposal.
The full-face coverings will be allowed in places of worship and other sacred sites.

Central Industrial Security Forces Celebrates its 52nd Raising Day
The Central Industrial Security Forces Celebrates (CISF)- Raising Day (CRD) is observed on March 10 in India every year.
In 2021, India is celebrating its 52nd Raising Day of CISF and the basic objective of the CISF is Better “protection and security” of industrial undertakings in both government and private sectors.
CISF is one of six paramilitary forces in India and functions under the Ministry of Home Affairs with its headquarters in New Delhi.

Heritage Foundation launches Economic Freedom Index 2021
The Heritage Foundation, a US Conservative think-tank, recently launched the “Economic Freedom Index”.
The index was prepared by covering 184 countries this time for this period of July 2019 to June 2020.
In the Index, Singapore has topped the global ranking for the second consecutive year and India is at 121 position, coming in the middle of the pack among Asia-Pacific countries, scoring 56.5 points.

France launches first military exercises in space
France has launched its first military exercise in space to evaluate its ability to defend its satellites and other defense equipment from an attack.
This was the first such exercise for the French army and Europe.
It has been codenamed “AsterX” in memory of the first French satellite from 1965 and will be based on 18 simulated events.
