Climate Smart Cities Assessment Framework launched
Ministry for Housing and Urban Affairs has launched the Climate Smart Cities Assessment Framework (CSCAF) 2.0.
The objective of the framework is to inculcate a climate-sensitive approach to urban planning and development in India.
The framework has 28 indicators across the following five categories:
- Energy and Green Buildings
- Urban Planning, Green Cover & Biodiversity
- Mobility and Air Quality
- Water Management
- Waste Management

Streets for People Challenge launched
The Streets for People Challenge addresses the need to make Indian cities more walkable and pedestrian-friendly.
The challenge aims to inspire cities to create walking-friendly vibrant streets through quick, innovative, and low-cost measures.
It will support cities across India to develop a unified vision of streets for people in consultation with stakeholders and citizens.

GoI constitutes committee for assessment of relief to bank borrowers
The government has constituted an Expert Committee for making an overall assessment of relief to bank borrowers related to waiver of interest on interest on the COVID-19 related moratorium.
The chairperson of the committee will be Rajiv Mehrishi, former CAG of India
Other members include Ravindra H. Dholakia, former Professor, IIM Ahmedabad and ex- Member, Monetary Policy Committee of Reserve Bank of India and B. Sriram, Former Managing Director, State Bank of India and IDBI Bank

Poonam Khatri has won the Wushu World Championship after the upgrade of her silver medal to a Gold medal.

First batch of five Rafale aircraft formally inducted into Golden Arrows squadron
The first batch of five Rafale fighter jets was formally inducted into IAF’s 17 Squadron Golden Arrows in Ambala.
The Rafale jets have been manufactured by French aerospace major Dassault Aviation
Overall 36 jets are to be delivered to IAF, out of which 30 will be fighter jets and 6 will be trainers.

The Hubballi railway station, Karnataka, is the headquarters of South Western Railway
