RBI imposes a fine of INR 1.95 crores on Standard Chartered Bank
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) imposes a fine of INR 1.95 crore on the Standard Chartered Bank.
The fine came as the bank failed to report a cyber security incident within the prescribed period and failed to credit the amount involved in unauthorized e-transactions.
SCB was also penalized for its non-compliance with RBI’s directions on customer protection.

India has been ranked at 40th position out of 43 countries in the 2021 Mercer CFS Global Pension Index survey.
Iceland has topped the Index followed by Netherlands and Norway.

India’s Bhavani Devi wins Charlellville National Competiton in France
Fencer Bhavani Devi has won the CHarlellville National Competition in France in the individual women’s saber event.
Bhavani made history at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 by becoming the first Indian to compete in the sport of fencing.
Bhavani is currently ranked 50th in the world and is the top-ranked fencer from India.

The Quadrilateral builds on ongoing cooperation between the US, Israel, and UAE after the Abraham Accords last year.
