World Tuberculosis Day is observed to spread awareness about the global epidemic of tuberculosis (TB) and efforts to eliminate the disease.

The ISRO demonstrated a free-space Quantum Communication over a distance of 300 metres.
The demonstration included a live video conference using quantum-key-encrypted signals.
This is a major milestone achievement for secured satellite data-communication using quantum technologies.

Finance Bill 2021 passed by the parliament
This bill seeks to bring financial proposals of the central government in effect for the financial year 2021-22.
It was passed by the lower house of the Parliament with several amendments.
It suggests a few changes in the proposals which were made in the union budget 2021 with the objective of boosting the ease of doing business and easing compliance burden.

Inauguration of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Smarak
The Shaheed Bhagat Singh Smarak was inaugurated in New Delhi by the Education Minister on March 23, 2021.
He also paid a tribute to Bhagat Singh in the chamber located in the basement of Viceregal Lodge of Delhi University where Bhagat Singh was imprisoned.
On the occasion, an existing collection of books being converted into “Shaheed Smriti Pustakalaya” was made available to the students and teachers of Delhi university.

Taking charge as the next Chief Justice of India is Justice NV Ramana
He is presently the senior-most judge in the Supreme Court of India.
Chief Justice of India (CJI), SA Bobde has recommended to appoint Justice NV Ramana as the next Chief Justice of India.
The current CJI is slated to retire from the position. Therefore, it is likely that Justice N V Ramana will take over as the 48th Chief Justice of India.

This day is observed on 24th March every year to pay tribute to “Monsignor Óscar Arnulfo Romero” who was murdered on 24 March 1980.
The International Day for the Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims aims to honour the memory of victims of gross and systematic human rights violations.
It also aims to promote the importance of the right to truth and justice.

Para Shooting World Cup 2021: India’s Singhraj wins gold
Indian para-athlete Singhraj won the gold medal in the 2021 Para Shooting World Cup at Al Ain in the UAE.
Singhraj pipped Rio 2016 bronze medallist Ibragimov by a thin margin of 2.8 points. The final score read 236.8-234
With this, India has moved to third place in the medals table. India has now two medals on its list, one gold and one bronze.

Certified E-Tendering Portal ‘PRANIT’ launched by POWERGRID
This portal will involve less paperwork and allow ease of operation to make the tendering process more transparent.
The portal has been certified by Standardisation, Testing and Quality Certification Directorate (STQC), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, GoI.
POWERGRID is the only organization in India to have an e-procurement solution on SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
