Geofencing for COVID-19 Quarantine Alert System

COVID-19 Quarantine Alert System (CQAS) application has been developed to track persons who have violated their quarantine. CAQS has been developed by Department of Telecommunications and C-DoT (Centre for Development of Telematics). Geo-Fencing technology uses software such as RFID, GPS, Wi-Fi to send alerts upon violation.

Essential medicines delivered to Maldives as part of Operation Sanjeevani

6.2 million tonnes of essential medicines have been delivered to Maldives by Indian Air Force Medicines including lopinavir and ritonavir, as suggested by WHO for managing COVID-19, have been delivered.

IRDAI has launched guidelines for the health insurance providers for implementation of Arogya Sanjeevani Insurance Policy The policy was launched to cover the hospitalisation expenses of the COVID-19 patients The policy can be availed by people 18-65 years of age.

United Nations approved a resolution that called upon international cooperation to fight against COVID-19 It has also called upon its member nations to adopt multilateralism The resolution called for intensified international cooperation, exchange of information, applying relevant guidelines for the WHO.
