Ghar Tak Fibre Scheme along with 9 highway projects launched in Bihar by PM Narendra Modi
It will connect 45,945 villages in the state thus enabling the Digital revolution to reach even the remotest areas of the state.
Under the Ghar tak fibre Scheme, internet service via optical fibre will be provided to households.
The Highway projects will construct 350 km of road at a cost of Rs 14,250 crores.

Women Officers to join Helicopter Stream of Indian Navy
For the first time in history of Indian naval aviation,two women officers have been selected to join as “Observers” (Airborne Tacticians) in the helicopter stream.
The officers are: Sub Lieutenant (SLt) Kumudini Tyagi and SLt Riti Singh.
The officers are a part of a group of 17 officers of the Indian Navy, who were awarded “Wings” on graduating as “Observers”.
The graduating officers will be serving on-board Maritime Reconnaissance and Anti-Submarine Warfare aircraft of the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard.
Quick Fact: The graduation ceremony was presided by Rear Admiral Antony George NM, VSM, Chief Staff Officer (Training).

On this day, countries are encouraged to create an environment of “24 hours of non-violence”.

Foreign Contribution Regulation (Amendment) Bill 2020 introduced
Foreign Contribution Regulation (Amendment) Bill 2020 was introduced in Lok Sabha.
It amends the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act of 2010.
The bill proposes to include public corporations, that are owned and controlled by the Government of India, under the list of entities, that are not eligible to receive foreign funding
The bill also seeks to include public servants under the list.

World Alzheimer’s Day was observed on 21st September worldwide.
The day is observed in order to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s Disease,it’s causes, symptoms and management.
September is also celebrated as World Alzheimer’s Month.
The theme for 2020 is Let’s talk about dementia.
Quick Fact: The campaign to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s Disease was launched in 2012.

Meeting of Border Guarding forces of India and Bangladesh concludes
The meeting of border guarding forces of India and Bangladesh, Border Security Force and Border Guard Bangladesh respectively, concluded in Dhaka.
Issues related to India-Bangladesh border management and security was discussed at the meeting.
The meeting is held bi-anually.
The BSF and BGB agreed for real time sharing of intelligence to reduce criminal activities on the border.

The action plan for the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was launched on the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, which falls on 26th June.
The data was provided by the Minister of State for Social justice and Empowerment Shri Ratan Lal Kataria.
