There are 2 papers in the NMIMS B Com Entrance Exam. Paper 1 is a common test and is to be taken by all. However, Paper 2 is to be taken only by the students aspiring for the design subject (B.Des Program). There are 3 sections in the paper. The question division for each subject is stated as follows:

The NMIMS B Com Entrance Exam is to be taken in the computer mode. The questions are MCQ based and there is no negative marking. One mark per correct answer is granted.

Cut short on the time consuming methods and go for the application of shortcut formulas. Arithmetic questions should be practiced well. Other topics like percentage, discount, compound interest, algebraic identities, mean, mode etc. should also be tried handy. Try to devote at least 1 hour everyday to this section.

2. Reasoning and General Intelligence 

This section of the NMIMS B Com Entrance Exam also has 45 questions. The questions are diverse in nature. So, you need to attempt them pretty carefully. The overall level of the exam is moderate. 

Preparation strategy

While solving the questions, try and think critically. Also, try to analyse the different roles and conditions in questions. You can do this by assimilating the information given. You can opt for drawing conclusions from the logical points to assess the validity. When you get a hand on the pattern, it’ll be easier for you to solve. Devote at least 1.5 hours to this section everyday.

3. Proficiency in English Language 

30 questions in the exam are from this section. The level varies from easy to moderate. If you have covered your reading and comprehension part well, a good score in this section is manageable.

To secure your marks in English, all you need is a consistent learning and practice. Indulge into reading novels and newspapers. There are online grammar tests available for better preparation. Try and solve these on an alternate day basis.
