Tata Power JV starts Shuakhevi HPP in Georgia

Adjaristsqali Georgia LLC is a joint venture between Tata Power, Norway’s Clean Energy Invest (CEI), and International Financial Corporation (IFC). It has announced commencement of commercial operation of the 178 MW Shuakhevi Hydro Power Project (Shuakhevi HPP) The HPP is located in southwest Georgia.

MCA introduces “Companies Fresh Start Scheme 2020”

The new scheme will provide relief to law abiding companies and the Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) during COVID-19 pandemic. Ministry of Corporate Affairs has also revised “LLP Settlement Scheme, 2020” These measures will reduce compliance and financial burden on companies.

Casualty evacuation bags developed by DRDO

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has designed a casualty evacuation bag to transport or isolate persons infected with COVID-19. The bag is resistant to water, air and biological agents. It has been developed by DRDO’s Defence Bioengineering and Electromedical Laboratory (DEBEL).

New Ioniser technology for disinfecting hospitals

A technology has been developed by an incubatee company of Scitech Park, Pune, under the NIDHI PRAYAS program, Department of Science and Technology. It is a negative ion generator called Scitech Airon, which helps to control microbial infections in a closed environment. The Scitech Airon ionizer machine generates approximately hundred million negatively charged ions per 8 seconds. The negative ions generated by the ionizer form cluster around microorganisms and render them inactive by disrupting their proteins.
