About IIM Rohtak

IIM Rohtak IPM is one of the three courses offered at Indian Institute of Management Rohtak. IIM Rohtak is one of the premier six new IIMs of India. It was established in 2010 in Rohtak, Haryana, a location which is part of Delhi-NCR. Its main courses are Post-Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management, Executive Post Graduate Program for Executives (EPGPX) and the very unique 5 year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM).

Although a young institute, IIM Rohtak has been recognized as an Institute of Excellence by India’s Ministry of Education, awarded for its innovations in teaching methodology in 2014 by DNA. It has also twice been awarded the ‘Top Institute of India’ by Competition Success Review.

In addition to this, IIM Rohtak also has the unique distinction of being the second IIM to get its placement reports audited by CRISIL.

About IIM Rohtak IPM Course

IPM, or the Integrated Programme in Management is a full time, five-year regular course offered by IIM Rohtak. After completing this course successfully, you would be receiving an integrated diploma in management. If any student exits after successfully completing 3 years of the programme, they will be awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree.

Selection Process

The selection process for IIM Rohtak IPM is triple-tiered. You will get selected based on your overall performance in Aptitude Test (IPMAT), Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (P1).

The IPMAT Rohtak exam pattern is given below:

1. IPMAT- Aptitude Test

Mode: Online

Time Duration: 45 minutes

Sections: Quantitative ability, Logical Reasoning and verbal ability

Total Questions: 60

Question Type: Objective (MCQs) and short answers

Marking Scheme: 

Each correct answer will give you a score of +4 marks

2. IPM WAT (Written Ability Test)

In the Written Ability Test, you would have to write an essay on topics of current relevance. So make sure you are well-versed with what is happening in the world around you and

Word Limit: 250 Words

3. IPM Interview (PI)

At this stage, you will have a personal interview. For excelling at this interview you need to be well prepared with academics and current affairs.

Duration: 15-20 minutes

IPMAT Syllabus for IIM Rohtak

The different topics covered by each of the four sections of the IPMAT Rohtak 2021 syllabus are given below:

Quantitative Ability 
  • This section tests your mathematical skills.
  • You need to be familiar with basic as well as higher mathematics topics. IIM Rohtak has not been asking many questions from higher maths in the recent exams, but it would be still a good idea to prepare for them.
  • Go through the mathematics topics from 9th-12th grade. 
  • Be familiar with the type of questions that can come from the previous years’ question papers.
  • The topics covered by the section are:

Arithmetic: Number System, Profit and loss, ratio and proportion, Data Interpretation, Time and Work, Simple and Compound Interest, Percentage, Average and Allegation.

Higher Maths: Functions, Limits and Continuity, Logarithm, Trigonometry, Probability, Permutation and Combination, Binomial Theorem, Calculus, Complex Numbers, Complex Numbers, Coordinate Geometry.

Logical Reasoning 
  • This section evaluates your reasoning abilities.
  • It can look very complex for an untrained eye in the beginning and you need to familiarize yourself with the types of questions that can come by referring to the previous years’ question papers.
  • Practice the topics given in the syllabus and learn the strategies used in each topic.
  • Do not dwell too much on the theory of this section, practice counts more. 
  • The topics covered by the section are:

Analogy, Series, DirectionsNon-verbal reasoning, Series, Syllogism, Order and Ranking, Blood relations, Statement and Inference, Clock, Coding and Decoding, Data Sufficiency, Sitting Arrangement, Puzzles, Inequality.

Verbal Ability
  • This section is for analyzing your English Language proficiency.
  •  The question mainly comes from Reading Comprehension, Grammar, and Vocabulary.
  • IPMAT Rohtak is also one of the few undergraduate entrance exams which asks Verbal Reasoning and Critical Reasoning questions.
  • Practice and work on improving your grammar and be extra careful about the colloquial mistakes you can make.
  • Reading regularly can help you improve your English proficiency so much. 
  • The topics covered by the section are:

Reading Comprehension, Word Analogy, Vocabulary, Explicit and Implicit Inferences, Grammar, Word Meaning, Para Jumbles, Sentence Completion, Synonym and Antonym, Idioms/ Proverbs, Statements-Arguments, Homonyms.

Admission Process for IIM Rohtak IPM

  1. Register online: You have to first register online and fill in all personal and academic details well before the deadline for application submissions. Please keep your application form number, registered ID and password safe for future reference.
  2. Pay the registration fees: Registration fees is Rs. 3890 for students. The fees is payable online only, through debit/credit cards and netbanking
  3. Download admit card: If you have registered successfully, your admit card should be accessible on the website at least one week prior to your IPMAT. Now’s the time to use the registered ID and password you saved earlier to access it! 😉
  4. Appear for IPMAT: Appear for your 2 hour long IPMAT. Don’t forget to carry your admit card!
  5. Check results: Results are usually declared within 10-15 days of the exam. Check your results on the official website using your application form number, date of birth and email ID.
  6. Appear for WAT and PI: Candidates who clear the IPMAT are then called in for a written test and a personal interview conducted by a panel from IIM-Rohtak.

Exam Centres for IIM Rohtak IPM

IPMAT is conducted in as many as 28 cities all over India. These are listed by IIM Rohtak and need to be selected by you carefully while registering for the exam. However, please note that final allocation of exam centre depends on availability of seats. In unavoidable cases, you may be alloted a centre nearest to your city of preference.

Fee Structure for IIM Rohtak IPM

Programme fee for the first 3 years: Rs. 4.51 Lakhs per annum 

Programme fee for 4th and 5th year: Rs. 7.6 Lakhs per annum

IIM Rohtak IPM Course Curriculum
