Beginner’s Strategy for DU JAT Preparation

Many find it difficult to prepare for an entrance exam properly. Beginners should follow these strategies to do your DU JAT preparation the right way:

1. Understand the Syllabus

Start with reading and understanding the syllabus well. Go through the important sections that questions come from in each of the 4 sections.

This will help you to focus on the important topics and prepare well.

2. Go through Exam Analysis

Read the DU JAT Entrance exam analysis of the previous year. It enables you to form an idea of what kind of questions are asked and which topics have more weightage.

3. Refer Previous Years’ Question Paper

One of the most useful pieces of advice is to refer and practice DU JAT previous year paper. Check out the difficulty level of each section. Find out the topics from which questions are frequently asked.

Question paper does not necessarily follow a specific pattern. In DU JAT 2020, quantitative questions dominated the paper and general awareness questions were comparatively much less.

4. Read the newspaper daily

Make sure to be thorough with the current affairs of the past whole year to excel in this section. Refer to news summaries of each month of the year.

Reading newspapers will not only help you to keep up with the current affairs but would also bring a drastic improvement in your vocabulary.

5. Do Mock Tests

There are several DU JAT mock tests available online to boost your preparation. This will let you analyze your overall performance and work on your weaker sections.

Doing mock tests will also let you understand which section is taking more of your time and improve your pace.
